The Nucleus back support is the perfect combination of support and great comfort, at a lighter weight than you’d expect.

This back is highly customisable, and can be purchased complete with one to four lateral pads or wings to give extra lateral support where needed. This helps in maintaining proper trunk positioning, as well as giving support to individuals who need extra lateral support.

The lateral pads contain two hinges - one where the pad meets the chair, and one halfway down the pad itself. These can be adjusted to form a smooth curve inwards or outwards that can be locked into place by using a 5mm Allen key. The wings attach to two tracks either side of the trunk, meaning that they can be adjusted to sit at any height required by the individual.

This model also comes with the option of including a Foam in Place System - a viable alternative to a moulded chair for some users.

NB Range (Nucleus without Foam in Place)

NB - Newback without wings

This is a standard back, with no lateral wings, for clients who need comfort over support. It includes the standard ½” Sunmate and ½” HR3 cushioning, but does not include the option of Foam in Place (FIPS).

NB5 - Newback with bottom wings

This back comes with the option of bottomwings for clients needing lower trunksupport as well as guides to the pelvis.

NB9 - Newback with top and bottom wings

This back comes with the option of top and bottom wings for clients who need comfort as well as positioning and support in the pelvic and trunk regions.

NBF Range (Nucleus with Foam in Place)

NBF - Newback with no wings, includes

This is a standard back, with no lateral wings, for clients who need comfort over support. This range is the same as NB, but comes with the addition of Foam in Place kit.

NBF5 - Newback with bottom wings, includes Foam in Place Kit

This back comes with the option of bottomwings for clients needing lower trunksupport as well as guides to the pelvis.This range is same as the NB5, but comes with the addition of Foam in Place kit.

NBF9 - Newback with top and bottom wings, includes Foam in Place Kit

This back comes with the option of top and bottom wings for clients who need comfort as well as positioning and support in the pelvic and trunk regions. This range is the same as, NB9 but with the addition of Foam in Place kit.
